Super Six Championship Circuit L3 & L4

i) New England L3 and L4 Super Six singles and doubles events offer an advanced level of competition for USTA New England residents only and award New England and National ranking points.

ii) All Super Six singles events will have “Super Six Qualifier” tournaments the week prior to the Super Six events with the winners and finalists earning selection into the respective upcoming Super Six events. “Qualifier” draws will be single elimination with all matches using regular scoring and a Match Tiebreak (first to 10 points by a margin of two) in lieu of a third set. “Qualifiers” are open to USTA New England residents only and will have a maximum of 32 players per draw and will award L6 points-per-round ranking points.*

* The June L3 Super Six Sectionals singles event will have a Qualifying draw with a maximum of 16 players per draw the day before the Main draw starts with the four semi-finalists earning selection into the respective Main draw.

iii) Singles draws for the January L3 and all L4’s are limited to maximum of 16 players and are Feed in Championship (FIC) through Quarter Finals format with semi-final losers playoff for third place (winner third, loser fourth) and round of 16 and quarter-final losers playoff for fifth place. (Consolation fifth/sixth place finals are not played). All matches are best-of-three tiebreak sets and use regular scoring. Only in an emergency, such as a power failure, extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstance, may a Match Tiebreak (first to 10 points by a margin of two) be used in lieu of a third set. Such an occurrence should be rare.

iv) Singles draws for the June L3 Sectionals are limited to maximum of 24 players and are Feed in Championship (FIC) through Round of 16 format with semi-final losers playoff for third place (winner third, loser fourth), quarter-final losers playoff for fifth place and round of 32 and round of 16 losers playoff for ninth place. All main draw matches are best-of-three tiebreak sets. All FIC matches use a Match Tiebreak (first to 10 points by a margin of two) in lieu of a third set. All matches use regular scoring.

v) Doubles draws are limited to maximum of 16 teams, with a Feed In Championship, FIC, through the quarter finals and a main draw semi-final loser’s playoff for third and fourth place. (Consolation finals are not played). All matches are eight game pro sets with regular scoring and a set tiebreak at 8-8.
