Jamey Finchum Named Director of Tennis

I am writing today to extend my congratulations and express gratitude to our Director of Junior Tennis, Jamey Finchum. Jamey has accepted a position as the Director of Tennis at Longfellow’s most recent acquisition, Longfellow New Hampshire, located in Nashua. This is a bittersweet announcement considering the hard work and passion Jamey has contributed to Longfellow over the past 25 years.
Members and staff alike will miss Jamey’s extraordinary teaching skills, superior program development, good heart, and fun sense of humor. His last day at Longfellow Wayland will be June 13th. We would like to thank Jamey for all his work with our junior program over the years as we celebrate the transfer of his magic North to New Hampshire.
Our New Hampshire club is the premier tennis club and largest tennis facility in New Hampshire with eight indoor tennis courts and eight beautiful outdoor clay courts. Longfellow New Hampshire also hosts more USTA tournaments than any club in New England. Jamey lives in Nashua and he has worked weekends directing USTA tournaments for many years. He will be a terrific addition to a strong Longfellow New Hampshire team.
Jamey is bringing his 25 years of experience (and jokes) at Longfellow Wayland to his new full-time position at LNH. As we enter our fourth year of owning this historic club, we look forward to Jamey’s leadership taking the club to the next level of success. We are confident he will make an immediate and long-lasting impact at Longfellow New Hampshire.
With appreciation,
Laury Hammel
